Our music ministry is based on the premise that every person who attends one of our liturgies instantly becomes an important part of our most important choir - the congregation. Together, we sing and celebrate. Music is one of the tools we utilize to achieve this unity. As a community, we pray and offer our praise and thanksgiving through our music. The human voice is the original and most ancient instrument used to praise God.
We offer a number of opportunities to minister through music by singing or playing an instrument. All music ministry groups are open to everyone.
Parish Choir: The choir sings 4-part music, both contemporary and traditional, alternating between the 9:15 and 10:45AM Sunday Masses, and other large parish celebrations. Members must be in high school or older. The choir rehearses one night per week from September through June. Additional singers are always welcome.
Teen Music Group: This group is open to the youth of the parish. They sing at the Teen Mass, which is held on the first Sunday of each month, October through March at the 5:00pm mass. They also share their music ministry at other special events throughout the year.
Children’s Choir: This group is open to children in grades 1 through 8. They practice once a week and sing the third Saturday of the month at the 5:00PM Mass, October through May.
